Kaiden's Kindergarten Birthday Party

Today is Kaiden's 5th birthday!

I was in charge of cakes... so I made ice cream cone cupcakes with the help of kai-mi, Bobo.


One of Kaiden's favorite books to read is Bunny Cakes by Rosemary Wells..



In the book, Max (of Max and Ruby) makes his grandma an awesome earthworm cake, and tops it off with his favorite, Red Hot Marshmallow Squirters.....

so I made him a mini little earthworm cake!



His whole class sang "Happy Birthday" to him (look at Kirsten at the bottom right!)


That's his teacher, Ms. Feerick... There was also Kirsten, Mimi, Daddy, Samson, and Mama present... However, Samson didn't get a picture with Kaiden since she was the cameraman.


They also sang "How Old Are You Now"


He was so happy...

There was a fire drill, so we had to take a little break



Then back to the classroom...


Everyone got an ice cream cone cupcake (golden cake or devil's food chocolate cake)...


And we put four different types of toppings in the center of the tables


There were gummy bears, gummy worms, Teddy Grahams crackers, and rainbow sprinkles


I think everyone had a lot of fun decorating their own cupcakes!

Some of them were very precise and put each topping on gently... But a lot of them just put a bunch and gobbled it up!
